I love antique book pages, and this one is very old with Latin text. I can't tell you what it says, but it seems to be a scientific or metaphysical text, I think.
This would make a great background image for cards or altered art or even jewelry. I love using any kind of printed page for that. I am fascinating by words and language and also the fonts themselves. Notice the beautiful decorative capitol letter M.
I hope you enjoy this free vintage image, which can be saved, printed, resized, etc., as needed. Follow me and visit again!

Free Vintage Ephemera: Postcard with Quill Pen Arrow
Here is another vintage postcard back with an unusual design -- this one a quill pen design through the word Postcard. At first I thought it was an arrow, but a quill makes perfect sense for a postal card. I've cleaned it up and removed some elements to make the design stand out. Enjoy!

Gorgeous Post Card Back
I'm certainly having fun rummaging through old scans for cool images to share. Here is a beautiful and unique old post card back, with an illustration and nice early Art Deco type decorative design. I love old postcards ~ and often the backs are as pretty as the fronts. I will share some with handwriting sometime also ~ have them with English, French, German.... so follow and come back!

Antique Book Page: Alice in Wonderland
Still digging into the pages for cool ephemera backgrounds ... here is a scan of an antique book page. Seems to be a story about a little girl and a White Rabbit with a pocket-watch... more to come...!
Thanks for visiting!

Antique Music Page Background
You can't have enough background pages, and the wonderful thing about digital is that you can use them again and again without harming the original. I have piles of sheet music and antique books, ledgers, dictionaries and such, so expect more digital ephemera pages. Let me know if you like them! Have a request?

Antique Advertising Text and Illustrations
I can never get enough of these old advertising pages, especially when they have fancy borders and cool illustrations. I love the antique-looking fonts, too.
This is actually a rather larger image, so again remember you can resize large or small for all sorts of projects.
These ephemera pages make lovely backgrounds, or crop out the illustrations. Here we have a sewing machine, a cup of instantaneous chocolate ("the greatest invention of the age"), a rolling chair, and "the improved home Turko-Russian folding bath cabinet," in addition to the smart housekeeper answering her door, plus fun text.

Birds & Fairy Parade
I hope you'll enjoy this charming and colorful illustration from a fairy tale children's book.
Remember these images are larger than shown here (often much larger), so you can print them large, but you can also resize them smaller as well for jewelry and such!

Paris Postcard with Pansies and Bees
Here is another French carte postale image, with the addition of some lovely garden pansies and some little bees and moths. This is an altered image I have created myself. Enjoy for personal use ~ and please credit my blog if you publish something. Thanks! Have a blessed day.

Carte Postale with French Handwriting
What could be lovelier than an antique postcard with writing in French? This one was sent to a Mademoiselle in Amiens on August 18, 1906. Just a simple Happy Birthday message, but holding it is like holding a little piece of the past and communing with someone who probably passed away long ago. Anyway, here it is scanned for you to use and enjoy! This is a nice large image so you can use it for large backgrounds if you like, but you can also resize and use it smaller if you prefer. Blessings! Follow me and come back!
